The rings it comes with allow toys to be hung at different heights.The Toys: There are 2 plain toys- one butterfly and one bug- that she is learning to grab onto. In particular, the butterfly is great for learning to grab. In response to a previous review, I cannot figure out how either of these would be a choking hazard. Maybe they have since changed the design? There is also a flower shaped teether, which we have not had to use yet, but looks like it will be great in the future. The rattle that comes can be taken down and used for tracking when baby is younger; it spins, so it can be rolled across the floor or tabletop. There is also a mirror, which my daughter enjoys. Lastly, there is a musical, hanging sun. The settings on this are great. You can adjust the volume (high or low), and turn the music off, continuously on, or to be activated by baby hitting it. Choking Hazard!, By This review is from: Bright Starts Pink Pretty in Pink Supreme Play Gym (Baby Product) My daughter loves playing with this mat and I love the interchangeable manipulatives. However, throw away the dragonfly (butterfly?) immediately! I was sitting beside my daughter watching t.v. and monitoring her on the activity mat when I looked down and saw the tail of the dragonfly in her mouth and down the back of her throat. Her face was red and she hadn't been making any sounds because her airway was completely blocked. And obviously she didn't have the cognitive or motor ability to remove the object. So glad I received it at my shower. It was the first toy I could use with my little one. She was extremely fussy and wouldn't let me put her down. At about 6 weeks, I put her down on this and she loved it. She smiles and coos at the hanging musical flower in the center - it's her favorite! We still use this daily and she's 10 weeks now. Even just ordered the Bright Starts rattle with a similar face cause she loves it so much. The music is not bad either! |
