Great toy for your 2 or 3 year old!, November 24, 2008

My daughter got a version of this toy (available at Costco) for her 2 year birthday. (Hers also came with a bassinet/moses basket). She LOVES this toy. The baby doll is a little smaller than I expected but perfect for her. The stroller seems very sturdy (her older sister had one that collapses like an umbrella stroller & this one is much more stable). My only complaint is that the accessories are decieving. The bib shown is made of cardboard - so that was trashed immediately. The pacifier doesn't fit in the baby's mouth - you have to hold it there. My 2 year old still uses a pacifier & i think it would have been nice if she could give the baby doll her pacifier & have it stay in her mouth. All in all - a great toy for any 2 or 3 year old! (My 4 year old even enjoys playing with it!)

"Santa" brought this to my five year old and she is already a little to tall to push it without bending down a little. Its a little short for her but is so cute and both she and my two year old love it!

Bought this doll set for our granddaughter this year. No doubt she is the correct age and size for this item. It can be a teaching tool to her for how to handle a baby. It was well strapped and protected in the carton. Assembly not too hard. She picked up on the idea behind it quickly. Only two things I see which might be negatives: 1. the baby bottle does not fit either hand of the baby thought it would appear to be designed to do so. 2. Initially the stroller would fall backwards until she learned that not to lean on the handle and stand up straight when pushing it. The baby food box made of paperboard is a waste. Perhaps one made of a lasting material makes more sense. You can trust FP to have done their homework on this item.

Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug & Secure Swing for sale

Product Description

The 2-in-1 Snug 'N Secure Swing from Little Tike is sturdy, safe, built to last and loads of fun for your child. As a baby, your child can enjoy swinging though the air while feeling secure and safe - the straps and harness keep your child snug in the swing seat. As your child grows and his confidence grows, you can remove the straps and harness and watch as the 2-in-1 Snug 'N Secure Swing become a regular swing.

Editorial Review

Young children will get the hang of hanging with this cute swing from Little Tikes. Its blue plastic body sports sturdy yellow shoulder straps and a red T-bar to keep babies and toddlers safe; the T-bar can be removed for older kids. Parents should make sure not to hang the swing above concrete or another hard surface, and they should check that the support structure is secure. (The instructions don't specify how to attach the swing to the support.) The swing holds a maximum weight of 50 pounds. --Andy Boynton

Swing converts for baby to toddler
T-bar and straps holds baby secure

SO much fun!, April 21, 2003

This review is from: Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug & Secure Swing (Toy)

My son received this swing as a gift from my parents when he was seven months old. He had loved his infant swing since birth, and they wanted him to have something to play with outside. We didn't get to use the swing much at first, but when he was just over eight months old the weather finally warmed up and I sent my husband outdoors to hang the swing.

Here are our favorite features of the swing:

-No lap belts to mess with. This doesn't compromise the safety of the swing; the over-the-head apparatus secures them just like a three-point car seat harness would.

-The restraint can be stored under the swing when your child is too big for it, thus making this a toddler swing. A great transition! And when you want to convert it back to an infant swing for a new sibling or a guest, you aren't searching high and low for the restraint that you removed years ago.

-Easy to get in and out. There is no bar sliding back down the ropes and pinching fingers and bumping heads like the... Read more

i bought this swing for my 20 month old daughter, she loves it. it is very durable, and it will grow with her. it has more room than the other one we had. the only complaint i have is that the ropes need to be longer.

Design Forces Kids to Sit Slouched and Slumped Over:-(, June 29, 2005

This review is from: Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug & Secure Swing (Toy)

Please read through reviews on the 2nd and 3rd pages - lots of people have complained about the slouch (too bad I noticed these reviews AFTER we purchased the swing:-(

We bought this swing, set it up, threw out the box, and then realized a couple of days later that the slanted back with the straps forces kids' bodies downwards and they have no way of pushing themselves back up. How irritating, right?...especially since the box is gone! Our son doesn't complain about anything "hurting," but then again, he doesn't seem to want to stay in it for very long (and he looooves swinging). It does seem to fit my 16 mo. old (about 30 lbs.) well. In fact, it is just his size. I know parents have had problems with some of these toddler swings being the size of infant swings - just something to watch for as you read reviews. A couple of other things about this swing that are annoying: The rope is really, really short and we couldn't find one tree branch in the front or back low... Read more
