3 of 3 people found the following review helpful The ONLY one that would work for us!, July 20, 2012 By  K. Snyder - See all my reviews    Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Regalo Extra Tall Top of Stair Gate, White (Baby Product) This is an amazing baby gate. We had an extremely hard time finding a gate that would meet our needs. This was the fifth gate we bought and it was the ONLY one that would work. We needed something tall that would fit at the top of stairs - one side was wall and the other a deeply set banister with a 3 inch lip. This gate was extremely easy to install and offers a lot of choices for customizations to fit every need. We have had the gate up for over a year now and are very pleased. Our son routinely hangs on it, shakes it, and pounds it. One portion of the gate did begin to loosen (not compromising the gate) and I called Regalo and they sent a replacement part for free. This review is from: Regalo Extra Tall Top of Stair Gate, White (Baby Product) We loved this gate before it broke. The problem? They used plastic to connect the the gate to the hinge...my baby broke it. He's only 20 pounds, if it can't hold him, I don't think it will hold an older child. It turns out this was the exact one for me! After using for three months it has worked out even better than I had hoped. The gate open's both ways which is a great feature that I never really thought of. I also really like that the gate glides to expand or contract so I don't have to swing 48" at the top of the stairs. The gate is 50" wide and 35" tall which makes it perfect for my house. I have taken this gate directly off the hinges and out of the stairway when guest come over. This feature allows me to place the gate in and out of the stairway when need. Overall, I love this gate and would defiantly recommend it. FIVE STARS! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Cute book/toy for young babies, December 28, 2010 By  G&C's Mom - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo Activity Rhino (Baby Product) My 3 1/2 month old got this from Santa this year and loves it! When I hold it up for him, he'll grab the pages and laugh at his reflection in the mirror. He loves to hear the squeaker when his big brother pushes on it, and he grabs onto the dangly bird and rattle. It's a perfect toy for him to play with while being held or sitting in his Bumbo seat. This review is from: Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo Activity Rhino (Baby Product) The book itself is so so. Soft pages and bright colors. But the two sections that dangle down are terribly hard and what little rattling the bird does seems a waste of material. It is barely audible. So far this was a waste of money. 18 of 19 people found the following review helpful Real Value...not a forgotten concept, August 9, 2011 By  SlingingMercury (Santa Barbara,CA.) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Safety 1st AdapTable High Chair, Citrus (Baby Product) We bought this for use at Grandma's house since it can be collapsed down and put into a closet or under a bed and the price was very reasonable. We weren't expecting much since our primary chair at home is all wood and a much more expensive chair, I also tend to dislike things made with plastics and have found they are usually flimsy and disposable. Much to our surprise it turned out to be a terrific chair and has a high perceived value, which can't be said very often anymore. It is very adjustable at multiple points, easy to clean, sturdy yet light, seems well built and thought out. Assembly is a snap. Our daughter was very comfortable in it and it looks better in person than the pictures. This review is from: Safety 1st AdapTable High Chair, Droplet (Baby Product) We looked at so many highchairs, but I am very pleased that we settled on this one. The assembly took about 15 minutes (12 pieces plus 3 screws, 2 bolts, and 2 nuts) with just a screwdriver and pliers. I have assembled plenty of DIY furniture and such (Ikea bookcases and the like) and this was by far simpler. I assembled it by myself, and did not have to grow extra arms to hold everything together while doing so. I uploaded some pictures, as the only one on the site is the generic pic. Among the things you can see: how compactly the highchair folds up, how the tray hangs on the back of the highchair when not needed, how it fits underneath the dining room table. I am very pleased with this purchase. There are no crevices to clean, so the highchair doesn't get all gunky. The cover removes easily for cleaning, and I really like the pattern. The chair rolls easily and folding/unfolding is simple. All in all, very pleased. Especially for the cost,... This review is from: Safety 1st AdapTable High Chair, Droplet (Baby Product) In general, I like the minimalistic design; There's no extra plastic to bulk up the look or take up extra space near the floor. The wheels were an absolute must and these roll smoothly. While a little rough, the fabric is neutral and cute. I also really like the trigger method of adjusting the seat height. Lastly, you cannot beat the price. REVISED (twice! - I want to love it, but there are a few issues): 1.) Tray adjustment: My main concern is the tray doesn't adjust so it's snug against my 2.5 yr old's belly. It's almost okay, but 2-4 more inches closer would be perfect. What stops the adjustable tray from moving in closer is the hinge for the legs. It would take a redesign of the shape of the tray to solve the issue. Building a deeper tray articulated a little closer around a child's belly would not have prevented larger children from being able to fit because the tray slides outward. 2.) Dual tray design: I like the 2-tray system. Unlike other... Read more Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you?  Report abuse | Permalink  Comment
